What an experience !!
OK ! Not too much time to hesitate. Since arriving in Fethiye, many activities are offered and paragliding is really famous in this little corner of paradise, merely seeing the aerial view of the place it is difficult not to be tempted ..
So here I am a beautiful Monday morning. The sun pointed the tip of his nose and the mini bus just honk at the entrance of the hostel. I ship with all the tourists ..
We arrive on the other side of the tip at Ölüdeniz. Everyone goes to a local full of computer and people sitting on the kinds of sofas. We expect to be called by name to board in groups of 10 in a new mini bus with our the pilots.
On the way, a pilot makes us pick a ping pong ball with a number on it. I am the first and draw the number 1! Once each of us has a ball, each number corresponds to a pilot. So today I will fly with Murat!
After thirty zigzags, loud music, the excitement is at its peak !!
We arrive at the first jump spot already busy. After reflections, the winds are not enough strong to jump on this side of Mount Babadag, so we go to another spot a little higher behind the ridge ..
Murat and I are the first to come out of the bus! We take the equipment out of the trunk and bring it on one of the spots. He unfolds the sail and extends the suspension lines. The harness in place, we cling it.
Here I am in front of a magnificent view of the Turkish coast, slightly stony slope, the wind gets up slowly and this is the plunge. Murat shout to me '' Run !!! '' So I run !!! I run with the harness tapping into my calves, I run toward the void without worrying !! And hop ! My feet do not touch anymore land, and the harnesss picked me quickly to the fold of my knees, I sink in this small cockpit in a big laugh !!!
We go directly to the land, behind the ridge, everyone jumps sea side ..
Here I am alone with Murat in the air, it's just magical !! We fly along the rock wall to quickly get to the other side of the ridge !! And here we are in for 30 minutes to play in the warm air currents that occur along this mountain of about 2000 meters high. Murat likes to scare me a few times, approaching along the wall and asking me to prepare for landing. Joyfully we continue our little tour and I take the controls for a few seconds. What an amazing feeling to float in the air simply by a sail WWOOWWW!!!
We arrive to a rocky peak of Babadag and we take again the hot air current to gain altitude !! Some higher spirals, Nanou is no longer making a noise .. Its small inner ear is not happy and stomach either .. Guess what more ... but I promise, I have sprinkled anybodyperson
Aaahh I regain some colors and I continue to observe the 360 degree view we have of this beautiful site !!
It is time to initiate the descent, then we are heading towards the beach Oludenzi. From up there, I observe the activity around the beaches and coves along the coast. Tourist boats are again doing their tour like the one I attended yesterday!
We also see an ancient city in ruins and Murat shows me where he lives.
From the beginning of the jump, I wanted to spin (make a whirlwind downhill) but with my stomach weakened, Murat advised me to take it easy. We still went down by doing a 8 shape in the air, the feelings were there !!
We approach slowly from the city, and pass just above a truck, yyhhhaaa !!! 90-degree turn to the right and the runway is straight ahead !!!! just before the beach. We leave the landing gear and I have to run again when I touch the ground! One foot, two feet !! Here I gesticulate in my little snail shell but then my senses are all reversed, I go back !!! The sail pass over us and falls on tourists resting in the grass! Murat makes fun of me and we go back to store the equipment! We are the last of the group to land. Once in the room that is for viewing photos. Unfortunately for my super pilot, I do not have anymoney on me to buy the videos and photos that were taken during the flight.
But all images are engraved in my memory and especially the sensations!
It was just magical !!
