10h in Macedony !

Arriving in Skopje, capital of Macedonia. The small delay of the bus does not allow me to take the 6 am bus to Thessaloniki. Next bus: 5 pm!Here I am in the heart of Macedonia for ten hours ..I leave the station without knowing what to do. A taxi driver calls me! After much discussions, I embarked with Sasha for a ride to the Canyon. On the way we take a Macedonian breakfast: burek and yogurt, YUM!

The belly well-filled Sacha and I go out of town. Arrived at the entrance of the canyon, we go see a nice monastery with a small Orthodox church. The canyon is quiet this morning, tourists arrive later and we get to see the sun timidly dipping rays in this beautiful little heaven. A trail along the right bank of the canyon, on a distance of 6 km. I think I made barely 1 km, but Sasha was worried about my absence and came to meet me. We leave and that nice man let me in the city center.

I discover Skopje, its mix of old / new, occidental / oriental. A nice mix that gives an interesting architecture of the city. My tour ends by the Turkish quarter and the frenzy in the small shops of jewelry and fabrics.

Back to the station, departure for Greece !
