After the enchanting Venice, to me that's part towards the most beautiful Italian cities: Florence and Rome. Florence, city of art par excellence, has at its center the statues of gods. The Duomo is in itself a gem. But if we move away from the frenzy of tourists, it is possible to mount on the place of St Michelangelo and observe the city at sunset. For the curious, a small church (San Miniato) is back this up. This church is like no other and it is worth a visit just for its architecture!

To start the day, towards the market! A covered market with stalls filled with colorful pasta, dried fruit, dried mushrooms, meat and cheese from the region, fruit and vegetables .. (The architect who made this market has also Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan gallery) If you go upstairs, you will find a canteen. Several tables in the center of the space and stalls of typical foods on the sides.

Once awakened taste buds and full stomach towards the monuments of the historic center. The Cathedral (Duomo) Santa Maria del Fiore, the Palazzo Vecchio and museums nearby. During my walk, I had the chance to attend a mini concerto for an opera singer (I guess ..) Italian atmosphere was at the rendezvous. You will then Ponte Vecchio. The famous bridge before welcoming tanning workshops.

Today many leather garments are sold in Florence, but tanning and leather work is done in another city (Prato), the bridge now hosts goldsmith shops. The atmosphere is always touristy but the place remains mystic. The shops are not very high and sparkle in the sunlight.
Merci à Giuseppe pour son accueil et le repas délicieux ! Crossing the bridge, you can continue the visit by the Pitti Palace and the famous garden di Boboli. You then waits place of Michelangelo and the church of San Miniato! To return a gelato is a must! But be careful, '' gelato artigianale ', okay? Thank you Giuseppe for his welcome and delicious meal!
I keep travelling in the South. New landscapes! ROME !! As they say: 'All roads lead to Rome', so here I am in the capital!

After a little battle to get out of the subway here I am face to face with the Colosseum! Splendid building which remains well preserved. Following the stream of tourists I make a little trip back in time. The forum is here before my eyes, traces or column bases allow us to see the presence of temples of Roman gods. According to our guide, a large part of the time of construction elements have been reused for new buildings. Thus, churches may include elements of the forum temples. The site is a little fact 'stripped' time. Continuing my way, I find myself at the foot of an imposing white building everything! This is the monument to Victor Emmanuel II. This building is gigantic. The Romans did not wear too much in their heart, he would do a little task apparently depending on the architecture of the city and the color of the marble used (too white ..). It still is a beautiful building of gigantic size! Such as a banquet was held in the central statue of the horse if the horse!
To visit the city, each one has his own plan, guided tours, free walk around or simply getting lost. I chose Rome for the last two options. I got lost in the small area of Rome, away from the tourists. I went through a really nice neighborhood in the west of the historic center. Then go to 16h for the '' free walk tour ''. Small city tour by the fountain Trévis (under construction) and other historic buildings such as the Parthenon, etc .. The center of Rome is rich in monuments, just by walking in the streets, it is possible to see beautiful things.
My heart shot was ride the scooter in Rome. Riccardo thanks to my host, I could discover Rome by night, with the lively quays for the summer, a tour by the Colosseum and other temples and cathedrals on paved roads and bumps miles, dodging cars. A whole adventure circulation in Italy!
