Today is the great departure!
I try to get all my stuff in my 2 bags, my backpack and my cabin bag.
Both say that it won't be easy to compress my favorite shoes and fingers crossed that nothing explodes when I sat on my suitcase to close it ..
Everything is packed! Let's go!
Small walk along the Lachine Canal and last meal in Montreal. Here I am quickly sucked in by all the airport control passages. For once the custom officer is super nice!
2 little hours to kill, this is the time to thank all the people who wished me my birthday, to make my last calls with my canadian number.
4:45 p.m. boarding time! I have like ants in the cheeks, small tingling combining stress and excitement, the desire to show a big smile and at once, jaw clenched from the little stress by getting into a machine that can crash. .
Just beside the bridge at the door of the plane I psychote, I look at what I can catch well if the gateway goes away ... one foot in the cabin .. that's good! I am well installed on my little seat 4B.

The last checks are done, a pilot will check the emergency door in front, apparently there is a small bug ...
My neighbor on my left is passing red pearl necklace between her fingers, she must be praying, I hope she does it for us too;)
...
The plane just leans, we see Manhattan and his well gridded streets like major US cities, first step, landing at JFK!

Funny little stories about changing countries

Anchor 1

Two hours waiting for the next flight, I go wandering around some part of the largest airport of JFK. A smell of frying is consistently outstanding, Welcome to the States!
We get on the plane, no surprise, there is almost French people on board.
The pilot starts talking to us, apparently the fire door system is faulty, he said it will take about twenty minutes to make the necessary repairs and approve it all ... in fact it took a good hour and a half. .. And then you start to calculate the time of your arrival, you imagine already, like many movie scenes, to run with your bags and hustle everyone ...

But I got lucky, landing at 11:30am, I take the train at 1pm and now asleep on my shelf, cradle in a train to Nantes. Arrived in my hometown, I readapt myself quickly, tram ticket in my pocket, I go to the university, I have to meet my little brother.

Damn it I'm not anymore accustomed to France! People walking in all directions, in a hurry or not, ultimately, I think it's a question of habits, as if they have to be a priority, in short! I finally sit at the tram stop. A big doubt came over me, my little brother might have forgotten me ..
Finally after a few attempts to connect to the network of faculties, the litt'bro surprised me by grabing my shoulders. Glad to see him, I am now relaxed because, transportation is over for me, it is time to relax and enjoy my family!

Here we go again for new adventures, we are at the dawn of the famous Halloween party and while the pumpkins with funny faces invade the gardens of Quebec, the ''caillou'' globetrotter takes her flight to Japan!

We are now in the Boston airport for the connecting flight ... Once on the plane, it's already the beginning of the change. There are many Japanese.
The cabin of our aircraft is really class & clean, the image that I have in mind about this country. And just the technology for the windows, I am a big fan! You have to press a button and a shade of blue covers the glass to attenuate light, too bad I'm not near a window!
(The photo is taken from the following website: http://flight-report.com/en/report-3125.html, besides the guy who wrote the article detailed this famous flight !!)

Ah! Another thing, our flight number is 007, so a word to the wise .. I think it's a good sign for the beginning of a mission in Asia!
Turning on my screen and discovering the flight information first word of this mission, patience !!
Distance : 10595 km,
Flight time before arrival : 13:00
Time to Destination: 2:58 am (it is 1:58 pm for us, so 13 hours difference)

So if we do a quick calculation, we will fly 13 hours and 26h will pass !! Basically we will go in the same direction as our beloved Earth, but twice as fast! Anyway what is certain is that we followed the sun for a while.

Monday, December 28 I fly to Vietnam. I have to admit I am a little excited to go in this country, and also hope for a little more heat, I just got my noze freeze to reach the subway !!
Last subway experience in South Korea and here I am at the airport.
Step number 1, find the desk, being pushed in the line, once again in Korea... Arrived at the counter, you must pay to check your baggage.. so you find an ATM and you try all your credit cards ..it does not work, the second machine, you succeed !! You say goodbye to your backpack and you go to the security gate and then to the terminal and a further terminal in which it is said that you can not come back.
While waiting, I visit a bit the terminal and there is the drama! I have no cash for the visa to Vietnam! I have all the papers but not f**cking cash and impossible to get some in an airport terminal. And there you start reading the horror stories on the net !! The boarding begins. I sit next to a window  and fall asleep. I have not even felt the takeoff, that is to say that the big stress tapped my energy !!!
Arrived at the immigration office there is a lot of people in line... the agent makes signs to ask us to move at the left ... I start talking to Mary who is traveling to Hanoi for a week. Luckily she agree to advance me the money for the fee, more likely we are called at the same time for the visa!! IWe go get our luggage and found Lee waiting for us. Lee had planned money in case I may need for the visa. We take the taxi and Lee proposes to Mary to take the same taxi.
Whew !! Here I am in Vietnam and with a 3 months visa !!
